Description

Military property until 1995, the area then passed to the City of Padula in 2014, being destined for an environmental and tourism revaluation project. The Mandranello Natural Oasis can be explored by following a 6 kilometres path, at about 1100 metres above sea level, and also has a large hydrographic basin (endoreic) within it, with no outflow.

In winter, the waters of the basin solidify, creating a fascinating frozen lake surrounded by vast beech forests. A natural paradise that can be explored without considerable difficulty on two routes: the high route, known as “delle sentile”, which starts at an altitude of 1097 m and reaches a maximum altitude of 1298 m; and the basic route, about 6 km long, which runs along the plain following the hilly ridge, without difficulty.
